Jenny and Paul

Bringing together both Jewish and Christian elements to their outdoor wedding, Jenny and Paul wanted a beautiful chuppah that could be disassembled and reassembled in their garden as a keepsake from their special day. The base of the chuppah was bamboo. The structure was covered in bundles of twigs and branches then adorned with dried hydrangea, orchids and other varieties of burgundy flowers. Jenny wanted to pay special homage to her southern California upbringing. Using birch bark covered pots, we grew succulents for the summer leading up to the fall wedding. Each centerpiece was a pot of succulents surrounded by mason jars of wild flowers. For both finding their seat assignments and as a gift from the couple, guests received a terracotta pot that was filled with cactus or succulents. The terracotta pots were used in the early 1900s to propagate poinsettias.

“Kelley is a brilliant artist, florist and decorator. She made our wedding absolutely stunning. I was aiming for a slightly bohemian, rustic, Southern California inspired, hand-picked wildflower aesthetic, and she pulled it off flawlessly. Everthing about it was better than we'd imagined.” – Jenny
